There does not have to be proof of racism by Wilson: the key issue is whether it was a justified shoot or non-sanctioned shooting. Motive is supplemental. If there is institutional racism that had a hand in Brown’s death, that does not need to be proven for Wilson to be found guilty of Brown’s death.

The real institutional racism was the repeated and compounding actions of the Ferguson PD in the immediate aftermath, hours, and days after the shoot.
