All of this policy is basically as sound as a condo-buying seminar.

They’ll be some technical quibbling about how “criminals” means anything you get arrested/tried for, even though what they’ve presented to sell the idea is that there’s really dangerous people.

And at the same time, they’ll claim that their numbers really do represent dangerous “bad hombres” being deported.

Ayep, in a year or so we’ll be told about how deportation numbers have skyrocketed and this is a “good” thing because the number represents all those “criminal aliens” that we’ve been told for years were running rampant in this country. It’s the scoreboard effect, so long as they get a point on the board, they couldn’t give a shit less what the real world effect of such is.
