My brother-in-law tried to use the cynical “both parties are the same” issue with me (surprise he didn’t vote), claiming as evidence how corrupt the Texas Lege is.

I pointed out that Texas is not a red state, nor a corrupt state, it is a non-voting state, and that attitude is precisely the problem.

I agree. If I were younger and had more time, I’d seriously consider going to Texas to campaign for Beto.
