My political awareness began with Operation Desert Storm and Limbaugh on the radio. I can see where he fits in with competing conservative sects through where we are today.

funny, because a lot of my core beliefs are what could be called “conservative”. I like markets - but not as some abstract ideal, but as a mechanism for balancing supply and demand - to the benefit of all participants.
I favor individual initiative and personal responsibility. But individuals also have the right to collectivize. We do it all the time with investors in the form of limited-liability corporations, but why do conservatives throw tizzy fits when workers or consumers form unions or cooperatives?
