Just for curiosity’s sake, can anyone explain to me how FedEx Ground shipping actually works? I’m watching the tracking for an item I have to sign for. In the first 40 hours or so after pickup, the item traveled just over 1000 miles. At this moment (according to the last tracking update), the item is approximately 40 miles away from me. According to the estimated time of delivery, that final 40 miles is going to take another 3 days (counting today). I’m not complaining, just baffled.
