Greets and saluts from the recovering NYC metro area. We saw quite a bit of storm damage in the area from yesterday’s severe storms. An 11 year old was killed when a tree came down on a car and crushed it. Quite a few homes saw trees come down and around 200,000 lost power in NY, NJ, and CT from the storms. There’s also indications of possible tornado damage in upstate NY. The NWS will be out investigating today. At least one tornado was confirmed to have struck in Sullivan County.

Closer to home, we had downed branches, but thankfully nothing more damaging than that even as neighboring towns saw scattered outages and downed trees.
