Brrr… I just came back from three hours of sitting in a 55-degree drizzle, watching first one kid’s soccer game and then the other’s. I sat with some other fathers, who were grousing about the health care bill. In the Reagan administration, one year the entire federal budget topped $500 billion dollars—and people groaned about what a fiscal atrocity that was. At this rate, by the time my kids enter the tax rolls, we’ll be printing sums like that out of thin air, and tossing them around like Waffle House tips.

But they will be healthy.
