I’m just noticing the pattern, you bring up technique a lot. Which is fine, I like technique! But I get the feeling it’s more important to you than it is to me.

depends on how the term is applied doesn’t it?….was Dylan a genius as a writer?….he didn’t invent a new form of poetry or verbage….nothing new there, but in his time and place he was pretty much singular….doesn’t make him a genius, just very good at what he was doing….he thinks a lot of his work stinks and his fans are dopes for liking it….genius gets tossed around too frequently, it loses all meaning for some people…Waits is no genius
