Palin is very probably going to be the GOP nominee in 2012.

I keep going back and forth on this.

Clearly what makes her “shiny” to her base is the possibility of her as POTUS. So, she needs to keep up the momentum of that possibility.

But I don’t think she actually wants the job of POTUS. Its alot of work. Its not the kind of work that pays off with a big check every time you make a speech.

But if she doesn’t run, her window of celebrity will close quickly. And with it all of the appearances, t.v. shows, speaking engagements, etc. She clearly loves the celebrity. And she loves the money. So it’s a catch-22.

In the end, I think she will run in the primaries because she sort of has to, but hopes that she won’t get nominated.
