IMO, very bad precident:
US court: Catholic woman must live as Orthodox Jew

Catholic couple ordered to live Hasidic lifestyle in order to be able to see husband’s son, who was born to ultra-Orthodox Jewish mother

The court orders also forbid use of a car for the child’s transport on the sabbath, or sports or use of electronics on that day.

With decisions like this, I suspect the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment will soon mean little or nothing. Or it may help to make promotion of sharia law a cakewalk.

No, the court did not order the Catholic mother to adopt a Hasidic lifestyle, but to accommodate her stepson with kosher food when he comes on court-ordered visitations. Of course not ordering visitations that must take place on Saturday would be a good idea.

I have been following this episode, it’s just another sad case of a failed interfaith marriage.
