I won’t go so far as to call Musk another Henry Ford, but he certainly is walking the same path.

He’s not Ford, but he’s definitely got a long-term vision. He’s making deals with the other manufacturers to get his electric power train system technology out there (saving the other companies the effort and cost of developing their own in-house) into various cars. Tesla is working on a compact car that would be priced under $30K. He’s also looking to expand the accessibility of electric car charging stations across the country.

Get your tech out there to people, make your own cars more affordable, and work to address the primary limitation of electric car ownership (i.e., the severe lack of refueling stations) and you could work to change the entire landscape.
