Finally a bit of good news for me today: damage to my car can be repaired fairly easily. My main concern was difficulty in obtaining Saturn parts, but fortunately GM still handles everything I need. Now I don’t have to worry about getting another car ahead of my health forcing me off the road.

I went to a facility that is actually owned by Allstate, and let me tell you…the price quote you get from a body shop that is not strictly in the business of price gouging is amazing. Naturally, the price is still well north of my $500 deductible, but I would be willing to wager I could easily get an estimate elsewhere for 20-40% more.
