If we have an uptick in Donald as a boy’s name in the next couple of years….

My own side note: I went through hell trying to name my two sons. My husband, being a teacher and a coach, always had one kid with a name that I would suggest that had been a total ass. “Can’t name him that. It’s tainted.”

Then I had to deal with “That can be shortened to a profane nickname.” And, “That will get his ass kicked on the playground. No.”

We ended up with Nathan for our oldest…named after his two grandfathers, met the criteria. Our youngest, Jacob, absolutely CANNOT be called Jake. Worst student my husband ever had was a Jake.

Hell.

My rules were:
1. Can’t be abbreviated to a nickname.
2. The initials can’t spell out something obvious.
3. No one is a junior.
4. Since my last name is one syllable, the name has to have more than one.

The funny result of that is that all five of us have six letters in our first names.
