Don’t knock it, it works. After getting busted a few times in college I found it was easier to just tell the truth rather than lie. I could tell women “If you date me I’m going to hurt your feelings eventually” and instead of it being a deal-breaker it worked like candy.

I see no reason to lie. And I love it when arguing with a friend or family member and they bring up the past. I just say “Ya. OK. So what does that have to do with anything”? That and I’ve realized that regardless if I get accused of doing something I didn’t do, I just say, “Yea, it’s my fault”. Just saves energy.
