Number five is pretty concerning. It says the Palins have had to spend more than $500,000 to defend themselves against 15 frivolous ethical complaints in the past eight months. She was exonerated in all cases, but Alaska law requires that she spend her own money in her defense.
That is a crazy law. Why does the frivolous party not pay a penalty?
It means that someone can be destroyed by a barrage of frivolous suits. And I wouldn’t put it past the left to use this as an intentional tactic.
