This is not an infatuation.

I always wondered how it was possible that such madness could sweep over Germany. I never subscribed to some notion that something was especially wrong with German’s from their genetics, so I concluded that the process had to be psychological and economic.

There is a process to how these things build in a nation. It starts with the whackos being given disproportionate air time and funding from vested corporate and political interests. Those interests think they can control the whackos. They can not.

With the whacko message repeated 24/7 - particularly a message that you are really actually superior to your circumstances and you have been duped by a traitorous elite who are taking from you and giving to foreigners or ethnic groups you don’t like - soon even sane people begin to map their frustrations onto those groups and the government. After all, where there is smoke there is fire right? And the economy is tough right?

The kicker is some deep mystical ideal to tie together a mystic vision of the homeland that never was, but all the whackos can ascribe to. For Germany this was teutonic mythos. For America it is a hardcore form of Christian America. That part doesn’t matter. What does matter is that the people believe that vision is their right and that right was stolen from them. Then they are whipped up into a fury and pointed like a gun at weak groups first. The first picked on are easy targets. Immigrants, gays, communists, (Jewis in Germany, but it will be black and brown folks here).

All of those groups are the traitors to the glorious homeland from without and within and then after a few victories against them - humiliating them, stripping them of rights, it feeds the lust of the growing whacko base.

Eventually, this cycle repeats until the government itself can be challenged.

We are in the early stages of such a movement right now.

If you are correct - and I truly believe you are not - how can you be sure that your American Hitler will not be a Democrat?
