I wonder if this august group would agree on a few modest tax principles:

There is nothing wrong with a graduated income tax so long as the top marginal rates aren’t so high that they are confiscatory.

A simpler tax code with fewer deductions would be a good thing.

Current attempts to moderate high-end corporate compensation have failed, but the topic deserves anther look.
