You can get a copy of your water quality report, from your water company, they are required to publish it to every consumer, annually. The number you want to look at is the TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) number.
Under 150 is really good, under 300 is good, over 400 is bad. The TDS makes a huge difference in how your plants absorb nutrients.
