If so I would agree. Too often we collectively turn our eyes from the real issues and instead find substitutes at which to vent our frustration.

I have never said or typed the words ‘social-stratigraphic’ in my life, but yes, that is a big part of it. There’s also an issue of the commercialization of education, grade inflation on a national scale, a culture of entitlement, oh, and the rise of the freaking cell phone.
