It’s hard to argue about the world being a different place in 100/1000 years while we have volunteers in uniform dodging bullets right now.

It’s about fifty years that we’re going to start seeing massive famines and millions of refugees. By the standard, not the aggressive, estimates.

It’s not at all hard to argue about it. Because, again— even though the problem lies in the future, the only solution is in the present. So, if we ‘narrow our focus’ like short-sighted morons, we blow it. We lose.

Getting people to understand this is obviously a challenge. I don’t know why.
