I’ve heard that from hunters about Grizzly Bear meat. Black Bear, they say, is not bad, if a little greasy, but Grizzly is awful and doesn’t diminish as you chew it.

Think I’ll stick with herbivores, at least among the mammals.

I had what I believe was black bear meat while traveling in Japan. It was in a stew and I don’t recall it being particularly greasy but I can’t say I recall much about it at all, really.

Also tried horse that trip. Tasty enough, but I’m not going to go out of my way to eat it either.
