While we were raiding the Pit Sox’s Pirates pantry, we should’ve taken Ryan Doumit as well. Just as versatile as Martinez (1B/C/DH- altho’ the last one’s a little rare for an NL player) but much younger. Seems like the Pirates let everybody but go Doumit this month…

Oh…and I saw this whole thing with Big Papi coming since A-RoidRod was busted earlier this year. Not in Ortiz’s performance earlier this year…just an obfuscatory answer he gave when the subject came up in an interview that seemed custom-made to let himself off the hook…
