A lot of the objections to ACORN are racist. A lot of the objections are because they get out the vote of mainly minority— and Democratic— voters.

Whether they’re opposed to ACORN because they’re getting out the Democratic vote or the minority vote, it has a racist effect; they’re against an organization that helps register minorities to vote.

Many people are against ACORN for reasons unrelated to their get out the vote activities, or because they’ve been told terrible things about ACORN, but there are plenty of people who’s opposition to ACORN is definitely racist.
