In general I agree with where you’re coming from, but where do you draw the line?

My brother is a Pagan. He goes and dances around naked in the woods on solstices and shit like that. A lot of his friends are estranged from their families because of their religious beliefs. Would you support the course of action for a kid who was being hounded by his or her parents because of differing religious beliefs?

Removal is a last resort and should only be considered when immediate or potentially lasting psychical or psychological harm would be done to the child by leaving them in that environment.

Depends on the child, family and circumstance.

If the “hounding” was on a level of psychological abuse or bullying then removal should take place - or at the very least external counselling or conflict resolution.
