Wow, now we are granting Germans political asylum here so that they can home school their kids as Evangelical Christians and shield them from evolution and other subjects their parents don’t want them to be taught. Considering that homeschooling is banned or severely restricted in several European countries this seems like a pretty stupid precedent. Besides which we are granting political asylum to someone from one of our own allied democracies, not from some third world dictatorship, what gives?

Or maybe it is just the Christian Rights way of trying to make up for all the people leaving the organized church in droves?
