Shit though regarding choice, look at what the Southern Baptist Convention said following the Roe decision too. Sam Bee was right. The reason why the religious right got its momentum was their opposition to busing not legalized abortion. They saw opposition to abortion as a Catholic thing and remember the Fundies were quite openly Anti-Catholic in those days too.
