I don’t think you’re so naive that you thought two years ago during the campaign that any of the candidates had a real solution to these decades-in-the-making global economic problems.

Dems AND Republicans have spent the last 30+ years creating these deficits. No Dem OR Republican is gonna ride into town and fix it, certainly not within a couple of years. It’s gonna take a long time, and it’s gonna be painful.

You’re right in one respect: Obama sold us a bill of goods on fixing the economy—the same bill of goods every prez sells us. And each time we still fall for it.

I voted for Obama because I thought he was the smarter guy, that he’d make a better president than McCain. And so far, I’ve got exactly the guy I thought I’d get. In some ways, he’s exceeded my expectations. Pretty simple. My expectations were reasonable.
