Yes he did. The smart move would have been to expel the Arabs right there.

Of course, since Israelis can’t be bothered to do construction jobs, we ought to have built Jerusalem up from the rubble it was ourselves and not given jobs and housing to the Arabs who now live in East Jerusalem. We really did bring it on ourselves.
