As a Phoenix resident, I’d love to believe this decision would get Arpaio recalled, but it won’t. If anything, his supporters will dig in harder.

It boggles the mind: Arizona is Tea Party central. Tea Partiers are presumably against government waste. You have a single elected official that has cost the county millions upon millions while not impacting the crime rate in any meaningful way. His strong arm tactics are legion (far worse than their fevered minds could ever project on Obama). Yet, he barely has to campaign. Maddening.
