I’m not sure that the Federal Gov’t could issue a nationwide mask mandate, but it didn’t even need to. If Trump had simply worn a mask voluntarily, the entire dynamic is changed. You don’t have assholes everywhere from Gym Jordan to some run of the mill fucknut racing around without masks. We’d actually be closer to Europe right now.

you’re right - it would have been a matter of fact, non-thing
trump made it an issue and it morphed into cultural/political

now that it’s all so out of control, i wonder if he wishes he could take that one thing back - cause there’s almost no way now to reverse course with any kind of moral authority. he’s convinced them all that masks 1) arent necessary, and 2) are 100% a liberal thing
