I’m leaning towards making the sanctions on certain individuals permanent. The ones on Russia as a nation, will go away when they leave Ukraine, including Crimea and Donbas, and remove Vladimir Putin from power and turn him over to the ICC.

From the point of view of geopolitical reality, Crimea is possibly the toughest nut to crack. Sadly, that’s one where Ukraine is likely gonna have to take the loss, as painful as that is. Maybe a Russian government not led by Putin and his gang might have a more reasonable position on the matter.

As for those so-called “people’s republics” in the Donetsk Basin? LOL, no, fuck that. That’s Ukraine, end of story. If those folks so badly want to go live in Mother Russia, then they can fucking move there.
