Lots of people in prison come from dysfunctional families. Casey will be just one more. Whether they go with Murder 1 or some lesser charge that gives her the option of parole in 8-10 years is up to the jury. I don’t think she’s a sociopath - just someone who should have been picked up to be on Big Brother, Survivor, Jersey Shore or one of those other stupid reality TV shows - along with about 30% of the rest of America.
