You want to know what I had to deal with the other night? Well, I suddenly vanished from LGF.

My CPU bracket broke and off went the heat sink and fan. The computer just went…OFF. Any way. I had to search for what was left of the broken piece and proceeded to repair it with crazy glue and I reinforced it with extra strip of plastic. Finding the piece took hours and I had to open up the PSU, unplug a lot of stuff like the GPU and clean it while I was at it.

Put it back together again and nothing. Wouldn’t boot and wouldn’t even go to CMOS. There were some loose connection (or I might need new SATA cables). Finally got it running again after 6 hours of work.

Whew.

Damn.
My friend once had his entire heatsink fall off.
Processor was fried in seconds.
