You can be a non vet and respectful towards veterans. See, Obama. Trump OTOH. And yeah they completely missed Jim’s point. The point is that Trump has never been into service. He’s only into himself and his daughter wife.

You can also be a veteran and be respectful toward non-veterans. Respect is a two-way street.

I don’t want someone to respect me because I’m a veteran. I want someone to respect me for how I treat them.
