I am pleased that the tea party concept bore fruit in large crowds today.

I understand your concern, Charles, but I think that as much as extreme elements can taint a cause, it is important to focus on the taint rather than the cause itself. Sure, the looney types and excreble Paulians can co-opt things, but I think this was more of a one-day symbolic protest, where the makeup of the crowds is not really important.

It’s the distributed network organization by intelligent, focused people, using in large part the Internet, that will get something done. In other words - community organizers! The pain!

At any rate, a more complex, goal-oriented set of objectives will attract intelligent, goal-oriented people, and we need to do that if anything substantive is to happen.
