Last I checked, embassies are sovereign soil of the nations who run them. If the Brits bust in there in order to haul Assange out, they will essentially be declaring war on Ecuador.

That’s what I was thinking.

I don’t like Assange. I saw a documentary on WikiLeaks at SXSW and walked out of it convinced the guy is a complete sociopath, and that whatever good intentions he claims to have are canceled out by his ego and his total disregard for the real world consequences of his actions. Still, embassies are sovereign soil. Sending in troops to an embassy to get him would be a definite act of aggression against Ecuador.
