No, they probably bought non-food items.

See, what a lot of people don’t know is that the EBT gets “fed” through two different programs: SNAP and TANF.

SNAP is what used to be food stamps. TANF is a support-till-working program meant to pay other-than-food bills and expenses.

But since they use the same card we get people thinking food stamps are used to buy non-food items.

How would I know that? I work!
