I’m inclined to give anyone feeling such grief a pass, although not to let their feelings override my reason—except I do think of Cindy Sheehan, who someone earlier mentioned. I felt really bad for her, and I think I gave her more of a pass than I necessarily should have…and I still think she didn’t set out to get into bed with the people she did, she just wanted to exorcise what she was feeling.

But the vultures were waiting.

Well most grieving moms don’t make kissy face with Chavez. That was just beyond creepiness. Cindy’s issues seemed to go far afield from her initial protesting.
