Yeah, but who? Reagan was in the pipeline for twenty years before he became president. I look around and wonder who could fill that role. I like Sarah, but I think she’s hopelessly damaged by the media pile-on. Bobby Jindal was looking good until he inexplicably championed ID. I love Mitt, but he has a Ken-doll quality that doesn’t play well. (My daughter says he’s quite charming in person, however.) Honestly, if anyone can identify an up-and-comer who’s got the right stuff, I’m all ears.

Paul Ryan. Maybe not for Pres, but he should be speaker of the House or Majority Leader in Senate one day.
