Exactly.

There are things that are, in our civil society, legal.
There are things that are, in our personal faith beliefs, immoral.
Where many of the GOP candidates are screwing up, IMO, is combining the two things.

I think abortion is wrong, immoral, an abomination. I also think it is wrong, immoral, an abomination for people to die or be disabled in some way due to substandard health care.

What I find must be allowed in our civil society to ensure protection of health (legal abortions) is vastly different from what I believe is immoral and wrong.

And that’s just the way it is. What I can DO is lend my own personal support to various “choose life” initiatives; what I can’t do is change the law.

Well, clearly we have different views on the morality of abortion itself. That said, so long as that view is being held by someone that still understands it is a personal choice and that they are not entitled to force it on others, I don’t have much of a problem with it.
