Collins is an Evangelical, though not really a fundamentalist. He has a problem recognizing that his fundamentalist brethren are in full denial of reality. This I find frustrating, because Collins knows this stuff (which is why he tries to convince fundamentalists that evolution is real.)

The religious right and hate-right are a death cult. They have no future, do not want a future, and are the expression of nihilism here in the early 21st century.
