There are likely plenty of enviornmentalists included in that 4 of 10 number that feel this is only the beginning and that nobody is going to take the action neccassary to get it under control. They are clearly more likely to be right than those who think God is doing it.

But either way, we need to identify a solution and we need to persuade people to recognize the real problems we’re facing.

Both can be done by getting Science and Engineering writ large in the daily media. Fund science and engineering projects that get people to think about what is going on and get their attention. Fund NASA.
