Why does this make Schiliro a RINO? A fair number of Republicans in the northeast support gun control. Are they all RINO’s too?

He’s a RINO for saying one thing then doing another, not once but twice. That kind of chameleon cannot really be regarded as loyal to any party, since he’s mostly in it for himself.
