If you’re near Yorktown you have more mobility than you might think. Most of the hotels there will get you to the Lombard Metra station and from there trains run to Chicago. In nearby Oakbrook is a branch of Gibsons, a steakhouse that my family and I recommend very highly. It can be reached via Pace bus #322, which runs fairly late, making dinner there possible (It’s also open for lunch). Oak Brook Center mall is also reached via the #322. That mall has a Barnes and Noble, which can be useful for buying a book for your flight home.

Just some ideas for your time here in the Land of Lincoln.

Gibsons is a little far to walk. :)

But not that far away since I’m near/on the Lombard/Oakbrook line. If by “Yorktown” you mean the Yorktown Mall I think that’s the one I can see from the hotel.

Thanks for the bus route information - that might be useful if I want to go further afield and not want to absorb the cost of a taxi.
