How exactly do “Uber, Airbnb, and Lyft stimulate our economy”? Somebody figured out how to monetize hitchhiking and apartment swapping and all of the money flows in one direction.

Also screws over the businesses that follow the rules (insurance, regulations, etc.) and wait in line (for taxi medallions or dealing with DMV PITA stuff), which ruins the competition in the market because Uber drivers end up with lower fixed costs than companies that follow the damn rules.
