I was fucking astonished when I saw college age demonstrators carrying Soviet flags and red revolution banners on the streets in Philly yesterday and acting like American voters would think that was a great thing.

Sanders’ version of socialism had some traction in the middle of the Great Depression. A true red banner revolution was actually warned about on the floor of Congress and it was not hyperbole.

That shit is not going to happen today, and you are not going to get American voters to sign on to an over socialist agenda or a POTUS who believes in it.

There’s an arrogance to them. They ignore how Obama was treated for being perceived as a socialist and they think Bernie would get off okay when he’s an admitted Democratic Socialist. The term doesn’t bother me at all FWIW but they really have no idea how much that word can scare a lot of voters. And it’s why their argument “Well Bernie polls better than Clinton does” was so silly, yeah the RNC and Republican alligned PACs haven’t told the entire country that Bernie is a Marxist who plays the Internationale while kissing a portrait of Stalin. The red baiting sucks but they were blind to being a vulnerability for Bernie and agh do not get me started on people who think highly of people like Che.
