I think they’re blowing it over there, with this restricted registration stuff. I mean, suppose Charles himself were to decide that the stalkers were right, that his blog really is a sucky wuss blog, and that he wanted to go over and join their blog instead. It would be the ultimate vindication for the stalkers! They could finally shed the relentless burning in their souls, and live the rest of their lives in contentment, knowing that they had been right all along.

But now, by refusing to let anyone register as “Charles,” they’ve prevented that from ever happening. So, henceforth, they’re doomed to a lifetime of suffering that will know no end, unless significant advances are made in the field of psychiatric pharmacology.
