I would say Code Pink and ANSWER would be analogous. Socialist and Marxist groups are also generally tolerated in lefty circles and they shouldn’t be.

I’m going to take slight issue with this, even at the risk that it’s not going to be the most popular viewpoint. While, clearly, the more radical socialist and Marxists don’t live in the real world, I think that the more moderate and rational sections of those groups (Well, socialists, at least. Marxist are harder to say since I’ve seen that term self-used by all sorts) make up an important part of the left to help balance out some of more unrestrained capitalist interests on the right. I should also note that there are several western European countries with legitimate Socialist parties that take part in and even lead governments. Socialists don’t have to be people wanting to turn the U.S. into the U.S.S.R.
