There is no contradiction. It is not the case that any person, just by virtue of being gay, must believe that gay marriage is good for the nation.

In fact, it is not the case that any person, just by virtue of being any {this}, must believe some particular {that}. Hence, the phenomenon of black Republicans, business executive Democrats, male feminists, and on and on and on.

Baloney. People can believe in whatever they like — this isn’t about individual beliefs. Co-sponsoring Constitutional amendments against entire swaths of people, of which you are one while pretending you’re not, that’s something very different.

As for individual conservative hypocrisy, Hinkle is straight-married and screwing young men on Craigslist. So the comparison to Black Republicans, bus exec Democrats, etc., is a non-starter.

New form of gaydar, and you don’t even have to be gay yourself for it to work: Every time a socon male rails against gays, assume he’s gay. At this rate, it’s very unlikely you will be wrong.
