Bobby was in the Navy too. A fact I did not know. I think it’s because he was stationed in the Caribbean. Not PT 109 like stuff but still in uniform.

According to Wiki, he spent pretty much the bulk of his “career” in officer training before being granted permission to serve aboard the USS Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr. before being honorably discharged later that year. He never saw combat.
